No, ScaleMap is completely free to use. All you need is a free Google account to sign up and access your workspace.

Where are my uploaded floor plans saved? Is my privacy safe?

Your drawings, images, and floor plans never touch our servers. Everything is stored locally in your browser’s IndexedDB/LocalStorage, making it 100% private and secure.

How does the calibration tool work?

When you upload an image, select the "Set Scale" tool, draw a line along a wall or doorway of known length, and type in that dimension (e.g. 5 feet or 1.5 meters). The app instantly calculates pixel-to-dimension ratio for the entire canvas.

Can I save my designs and work on them later?

Yes! You can export your entire project state as a JSON file and import it back at any time. You can also export the plan as a high-resolution PNG image.
